About Me

I am a seasoned massage therapist, body worker, and movement psychotherapist with a career spanning private practice, coordinator and mentor of healing touch spiritual ministry courses, and twenty years of college instruction in communication and psychology. I am a licensed massage therapist in the state of Iowa and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), healing touch spiritual ministry advanced practitioner, clinical aromatherapist, and a nationally registered movement therapist. 

My educational background includes a Master of Arts in Movement Therapy from Antioch University, New England, Bachelor of Arts in Public Communication and Communicative Disorders from Luther College, and 750 hours of massage therapy education from Carlson College of Massage Therapy.  The state of Iowa requires 16 hours of continuing education every two years. Because I believe so strongly in education, I have four times the hours required for continuing education.

I utilize a holistic massage therapy approach. After talking with you about your medical history and current concerns, I devise a treatment plan to best meet your needs incorporating Swedish, deep tissue, myofacial release, precision neuromuscular therapy, healing touch, and  aromatherapy blends to create a custom treatment to best benefit your needs. I often work with clients who have sciatica, low back issues, or neck and shoulder pain who consistently get relief with my treatment plans.  Clients experience at least 50% reduction of frequency, duration and intensity of pain in three visits.
